who we are

family

As the culture experiences a rapid moral decline, Christians must “continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel” (Colossians 1:23). The Wylers on Wheels, as an evangelistic ministry, strive to do just that by standing unashamedly on the foundations of Scripture and proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Since 1992, our family has traveled full-time, living by faith and serving the Lord across the USA and Canada. We seek to equip the saints with answers to defend the faith, promote God’s design for the family, and call the lost to repentance.

Whether among a congregation of six or six hundred, we deliver conservative, Christ-centered music and the message of God’s Word with enthusiasm and genuine love for people. “For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake” (2 Corinthians 4:5).

Growing up on a 186-acre dairy and potato farm in Ashland, Ohio, Doug Wyler learned practical lessons for life. Through the ministry of his future father-in-law’s (Dr. Ron Merrill) church, God changed his life and molded him for future ministry. In 1984, he graduated from Bob Jones University and married Ronda (Merrill), a 1982 graduate of Pensacola Christian College.

Early on, God gave them tremendous opportunities to serve in the local church, especially in music and children’s ministries. In 1992, the Lord called them into full-time evangelism with Ronda’s brother’s family (Randy and Tricia Merrill).

After traveling with the Musical Merrills for thirteen years, God led the Wylers to begin their own family ministry, and Doug was ordained in 2004. In 2009, they became members of Ripley Baptist Temple in Ripley, WV.

God gave Doug and Ronda five children (Jethniel, Jerrill, Joel, Javonda, and Jaron) whom they homeschooled and raised to actively serve the Lord together in ministry across the United States.
